Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a cookie sheet or baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into 24 meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until browned and an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) is reached.
- While the meatballs bake, heat the marinara sauce on the stove until warm.
- Serve the meatballs hot with or without marinara sauce.
Notes
Meatballs can be made ahead and frozen for up to 3 months; avoid overmixing to keep them juicy.
