  • 1 pound brussel sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the brussel sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and honey or maple syrup. Mix well.
  4. Add the halved brussel sprouts to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the coated brussel sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, leaving space for even roasting.
  6. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the sprouts.
  7. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  8. Once golden and crisp, remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add crushed garlic or sprinkle grated Parmesan before serving.
