  • 4 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh blackberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Mix until well coated.
  3. Pour the blackberry mixture into a 9-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to make the crumble topping.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the blackberries.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until the topping is golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added enjoyment.
