Ingredients

Main
  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup water

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spatula
  • 9x13 inch baking pan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Parchment paper (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and water; stir until just combined.
  4. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts to the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes.
  8. Slice the brownies into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For the ultimate fudgy texture, slightly underbake your brownies; they will continue to cook as they cool.
