  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet or your choice

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and eggs, beating well until fully combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix just until combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden, then let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
