Method
- Gather all ingredients and equipment to ensure a smooth preparation.
- Wash and thoroughly dry the cherries with a paper towel to remove any moisture.
- Fill a medium saucepan with a few inches of water and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Place a heatproof bowl on top of the saucepan, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil, and let them begin to melt.
- Stir the chocolate and coconut oil gently until the mixture is fully melted and smooth, about 2–3 minutes.
- Insert a toothpick into the stem end of each cherry and dip it into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Place the dipped cherries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly.
- Refrigerate the cherries for 15–20 minutes or until the chocolate coating is fully set.
- Remove the set cherries from the refrigerator and serve cold, or store in an airtight container until ready to enjoy.
Notes
For a fancy touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the set cherries before serving.
