Ingredients

Main
  • 24 fresh cherries stems on for easy dipping
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil for a silky smooth finish

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Heatproof bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Toothpicks
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Gather all ingredients and equipment to ensure a smooth preparation.
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the cherries with a paper towel to remove any moisture.
  3. Fill a medium saucepan with a few inches of water and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  4. Place a heatproof bowl on top of the saucepan, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil, and let them begin to melt.
  5. Stir the chocolate and coconut oil gently until the mixture is fully melted and smooth, about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Insert a toothpick into the stem end of each cherry and dip it into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
  7. Place the dipped cherries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly.
  8. Refrigerate the cherries for 15–20 minutes or until the chocolate coating is fully set.
  9. Remove the set cherries from the refrigerator and serve cold, or store in an airtight container until ready to enjoy.

Notes

For a fancy touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the set cherries before serving.
