Method
- Wash and thoroughly dry 12 fresh strawberries, ensuring they are completely dry before dipping.
- In a small saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon coconut oil. Melt and stir until smooth, about 1-2 minutes over low heat or in 30-second microwave bursts.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly and allowing excess to drip off.
- If using, sprinkle crushed nuts, sprinkles, or shredded coconut over the chocolate before it sets.
- Place the dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 1 inch apart.
- Chill the strawberries in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden completely.
- Once the chocolate is set, serve immediately and enjoy your Chocolate Covered Strawberries.
Notes
Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to ensure proper adhesion of the chocolate. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days with parchment between layers to prevent sticking.
