  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • Non-stick skillet or frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, milk, and egg and mix until just combined.
  2. Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat to preheat, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add a small pat of butter or a drizzle of oil to the skillet to grease the surface.
  4. Use a 1/4 cup measure to pour batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  5. Cook the pancakes for 2 to 3 minutes, until bubbles form on the surface.
  6. Carefully flip each pancake and cook for an additional 2 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed.
  8. Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Keep cooked pancakes warm in a low oven while you finish cooking the rest for a consistent serving temperature.
