Ingredients

Main
  • 2-3 ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Oil for frying

Equipment

  • Non-stick frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Paper towels
  • Plate for serving

Method

  1. Peel and slice the ripe bananas into even pieces, about half an inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
  4. Heat about half an inch of oil in your non-stick frying pan over medium heat until shimmering but not smoking.
  5. Dip each banana slice into the batter, coating evenly.
  6. Carefully place the batter-coated bananas in the hot oil.
  7. Fry the bananas for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove the fried bananas and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve warm with optional toppings like ice cream or honey.

Notes

Ensure your oil is at the right temperature to prevent greasiness. Adjust batter thickness by adding more milk if needed.
