Ingredients

Main
  • 1 loaf of refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced pepperoni or any preferred meat
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers chopped
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Rolling pin
  • Knife or pizza cutter
  • Mixing bowl
  • Oven mitts

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and position rack in the center.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a thin rectangle large enough to enclose the fillings.
  4. Brush the dough with olive oil, then evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the surface, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  5. Layer diced pepperoni, chopped bell peppers, sliced olives, and sprinkle Italian seasoning evenly over the cheese.
  6. Starting from one of the longer sides, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, enclosing all fillings.
  7. Pinch the seams and ends of the log to seal, then brush the top with the beaten egg wash for a golden finish.
  8. Place the sealed loaf seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is golden and crisp.
  9. Allow the bread to cool for 5 minutes before slicing to prevent the cheese from spilling out.

Notes

Serve warm with marinara sauce or garlic butter for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
