  • 2 large cucumbers thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion finely sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill chopped (optional, for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Wash and thinly slice 2 large cucumbers.
  2. Finely slice 1 small red onion.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine cucumber slices and red onion.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together sour cream, white vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
  5. Season the dressing with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Pour the dressing over the cucumber mixture and stir gently to coat.
  7. Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  8. Just before serving, garnish with fresh chopped dill if desired.

Notes

Chill for a few hours for more intense flavor and drain excess moisture before serving.
