  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup milk or dairy-free substitute
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly mixed.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan and shape it into a compact loaf.
  5. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf for a flavorful glaze.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed green beans, or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
