Ingredients
  

Main
  • 4 beef hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • Your choice of toppings ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, etc.

  • Grill or stovetop pan
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Knife (for toppings)
  • Cutting board
  • Serving plates

Method
 

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Remove hot dogs from packaging and optionally cut 2-3 shallow slits in each to prevent bursting.
  3. Place hot dogs on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until evenly charred.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place buns cut-side down on the grill and toast until golden, about 1 minute.
  5. Remove hot dogs and buns from grill and transfer to serving plates.
  6. Place each hot dog into a toasted bun.
  7. Add desired toppings such as ketchup, mustard, onions, or relish.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your creation.

Notes

For even more flavor, marinate hot dogs briefly in your favorite sauce before grilling.
