Method
- Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This helps achieve crispy skin.
- Generously season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4 to 5 minutes, without moving, until the skin is crisp.
- Gently flip the salmon fillets and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for another 3 minutes.
- Drizzle the hot honey evenly over the salmon fillets. Let cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize.
- Pour lemon juice into the skillet around the fillets. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily, aiming for an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Optional: Let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes before serving to lock in juices.
Notes
Ensure salmon skin is dry before searing for crispy texture. Do not overcrowd the skillet, and adjust cooking times based on fillet thickness. Garnish with chopped parsley for presentation.
