Ingredients
  

Main
  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 1/4 cup miso paste white or yellow is best
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the miso paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a baking dish or sheet pan.
  4. Brush the miso glaze evenly over each salmon fillet.
  5. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until it flakes easily and is opaque.
  6. Switch the oven to broil and broil for 2 to 3 minutes for a crispy top, watching closely to avoid burning.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

If the glaze is too thick, add a teaspoon of water to thin it out for an even coating.
