- Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine chicken, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, and brown sugar; marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add marinated chicken to the skillet, cook without overcrowding for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat; garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve the teriyaki chicken over rice or with vegetables.
Notes
Marinating the chicken for longer will intensify the flavor, so consider doing it overnight!
