  • 1 cup of unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until combined and fluffy.
  5. In another bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring gently.
  6. Fold the chopped pecans into the batter until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
