  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, water, and vanilla extract to form the moist base.
  4. Stir in the chopped pecans into the mixture.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the pecan mixture without stirring.
  6. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and set.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon or top with whipped cream.
