Method
- Step 1: Drain the canned salmon and flake it into a large mixing bowl.
- Step 2: Add breadcrumbs, green onions, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, pepper, and salt to the bowl and mix until well combined.
- Step 3: Form the mixture into patties about 2 inches in diameter using your hands.
- Step 4: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot.
- Step 5: Carefully place the patties in the hot skillet without crowding the pan.
- Step 6: Cook for about 4-5 minutes on the first side at medium heat until golden brown.
- Step 7: Flip the patties and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until golden brown on the second side.
- Step 8: Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Step 9: Serve the patties warm, drizzled with lemon juice or your favorite sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, chill the mixture in the fridge for 30 minutes before forming patties; leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
