  • 1 pound breakfast sausage cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup almond flour or regular flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg beaten

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Beat the egg in a small bowl and add it to the mixture, stirring until fully combined.
  5. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to form the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  6. Place the sausage balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking to firm up the shape. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
