Main
  • 1 box 6 oz of stuffing mix
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 stalk of celery finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Stirring spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving bowl

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and celery until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Stir in the dried sage and black pepper.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the stuffing mix, ensuring even moisture distribution.
  5. Cover and let the stuffing sit off heat for 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  6. Uncover and fluff the stuffing gently with a fork before serving.
  7. Transfer the stuffing to a serving bowl and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra crunch, try adding toasted nuts like pecans or walnuts to the mix.
