- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground meat and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Drain excess fat, then add the taco seasoning and 1/3 cup water. Stir to combine and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the taco shells on a baking sheet and warm in the oven for 3 minutes, until lightly crisp.
- While the shells warm, chop the vegetables: shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and slice the jalapeños, about 5 minutes.
- Assemble the tacos by evenly dividing the seasoned meat among the shells.
- Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
- Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
- Enjoy immediately while warm.
