- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and ginger.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with two tablespoons of water to create a slurry.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil.
- Once boiling, slowly whisk in the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously.
- Allow the sauce to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens to your liking.
- Sample the sauce and adjust the sweetness or salt if needed.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool slightly.
- Transfer the sauce to a glass jar or container for storage and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
