  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Trim the ends off 1 pound of fresh green beans.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the trimmed green beans and sauté, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 teaspoon onion powder over the beans and stir to combine.
  5. Season the beans with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of lemon juice over the beans and stir well.
  7. Continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the beans are tender-crisp.
  8. Remove from heat, transfer to a serving dish, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, toss in some toasted almonds during the last minute of cooking.
