Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Wash the cucumber thoroughly under cold water.
  2. Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor to release moisture.
  3. Place the grated cucumber in a clean cloth or cheesecloth and squeeze out excess water.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with the squeezed cucumber.
  5. Mince the garlic cloves finely and add to the bowl.
  6. Stir in the olive oil, lemon juice, dried dill, salt, and pepper.
  7. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well blended.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, let the Tzatziki chill for a few hours or overnight to enhance the flavors.
