  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
  3. Spread the apple mixture evenly into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Add softened butter to the flour mixture and use a fork or your fingers to combine until crumbly.
