Ingredients

Main
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Measuring spoons
  • Aluminum foil or parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and place a wire rack on top if using.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the wings, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  5. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Flip the wings and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
  9. For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 2 to 3 minutes at the end, watching carefully to prevent burning.
