- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat for at least 5 minutes.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together 2 cups Bisquick mix, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until well combined.
- Pour 2/3 cup whole milk and 2 tablespoons melted butter into the dry ingredients and stir gently until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle without overworking.
- Use a 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits, pressing straight down without twisting.
- Place the biscuits 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with additional melted butter.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the tops are light golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra richness and shine, brush the biscuits with additional melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
