  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Let the butter sit at room temperature until soft, about 15 minutes.
  2. Step 2: Chop the fresh herbs and mince the garlic if using.
  3. Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, herbs, and garlic; whisk until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
  5. Step 5: Pack the butter mixture into a candle mold or ramekin, pressing to remove air pockets.
  6. Step 6: Chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until firm.
  7. Step 7: Run a knife around the edges, invert the mold, and unmold the butter carefully.
  8. Step 8: Serve the butter candle at room temperature with fresh bread or vegetables.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing and press firmly to avoid air pockets in the mold.
