Ingredients

Main
  • 2 cups brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Stirring spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Molds or serving glasses
  • Whisk (optional)

Method

  1. Brew 2 cups of strong coffee using your preferred method.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons gelatin powder and 1/2 cup cold water; let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine brewed coffee, 1/2 cup sugar, and a pinch of salt; heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes without boiling.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  5. Pour the mixture into molds or serving glasses, leaving space at the top for toppings if desired.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until the jelly is fully set.
  8. Run a knife along the edges of the molds to unmold the jelly and invert onto serving plates; serve chilled with whipped cream or toppings.

Notes

Ensure your coffee is strong and flavorful; store jelly in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
