Method
 

  1. Ensure the ice cream maker bowl is frozen for at least 24 hours before beginning.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Assemble the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Pour the mixture into the chilled freezer bowl, leaving room for expansion.
  5. Turn on the machine and churn for 20 to 25 minutes until the mixture reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  6. Use a spatula to transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container.
  7. Cover and freeze the ice cream for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.

Notes

Allow ice cream to sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping for a softer texture.
