Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 package of frozen dumplings about 16-20 dumplings
  • 2 cups of shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup of shredded carrots
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese such as cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Oven mitts
  • Sharp knife or kitchen shears

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and shredded cheese.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and soy sauce.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the cabbage and carrot blend, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the filling mixture in the bottom of the 9x13 inch baking dish, then place the frozen dumplings on top.
  6. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the dumplings to season.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the dumplings are golden and crispy on top.

Pro Tip: For extra flavor, top with chopped green onions or sesame seeds before serving.
