- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease the donut pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Divide the batter into three bowls and tint each portion with red, orange, or yellow food coloring.
- Spoon the colored batters into the donut pan in swirls or layers to create a fiery design.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in a donut comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for 3-5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
- In a small bowl, whisk the powdered sugar and milk until smooth to make the glaze.
- Dip each cooled donut into the glaze and allow excess to drip off, then let the glaze set.
