Method
- In a large bowl, combine 4 cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon instant yeast.
- Pour in 1 1/2 cups warm water and 1/4 cup olive oil, stirring until combined. The dough will be sticky.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and use your fingers to stretch it to the corners, creating dimples along the surface.
- Let the dough rise for an additional 20-30 minutes until puffy.
- Drizzle more olive oil over the dough and sprinkle with desired toppings such as sea salt and rosemary.
- Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Use your fingertips to create deeper dimples—they hold olive oil beautifully.
