Method
- Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Add 8 oz. of Lo Mein noodles to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions (about 3–4 minutes) until al dente.
- Drain the noodles in a colander and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process and prevent sticking.
- Heat 2 tbsp. vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add 2 cloves of minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add 1 cup each of sliced bell peppers, julienned carrots, and broccoli florets to the wok; stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add the drained noodles to the skillet along with 3 tbsp. soy sauce, 1 tbsp. oyster sauce, and 1 tsp. sesame oil; toss well to coat and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, transfer to serving plates, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving immediately.
Notes
Always have your ingredients prepped and ready. Stir-frying is quick, and you don't want to leave anything burning while you scramble for your chopped veggies.
