Ingredients

Main
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • 1 cup coleslaw
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Equipment

  • chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Skillet or grill
  • Meat thermometer
  • Serving plates

Method

  1. Start by trimming any silver skin from the pork tenderloin to ensure a tender bite.
  2. Rub the pork with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper evenly over it.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat until hot for a nice sear.
  4. Place the pork in the skillet and sear for about 3–4 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Lower the heat to medium and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 145°F, using a meat thermometer.
  6. Transfer the pork to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes to redistribute juices.
  7. Slice the pork into thin pieces against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  8. Assemble the sandwiches by placing pork slices on buns, topping with coleslaw, and drizzling with barbecue sauce.

Notes

Always let your pork rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
