  • 4 beef hot dogs
  • 4 toasted hot dog buns
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 small red onion, finely diced, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  3. Stir in 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
  4. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (around 400°F/200°C).
  5. Grill 4 beef hot dogs for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until nicely charred.
  6. Place 4 hot dog buns on the grill for 1 minute, toasting lightly.
  7. Spread a generous layer of 1 cup softened cream cheese inside each toasted bun.
  8. Insert the grilled hot dogs into the buns, pressing gently into the cream cheese.
  9. Top each hot dog with the sautéed onions and serve immediately.
