  • 1 oz brandy or rum
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur such as KahlĂșa
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • 1 tsp sugar optional, adjust to taste
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish

Method
 

  1. Brew 2 cups of coffee using a coffee maker or French press.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine 1 oz brandy or rum and 1 oz coffee liqueur; heat for about 2 minutes, ensuring the mixture does not boil.
  3. If desired, add 1 tsp sugar to the saucepan and stir until fully dissolved, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour the brewed coffee into the saucepan and stir gently to blend the flavors.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk 1 oz heavy cream until slightly thickened but not whipped to peaks.
  6. Divide the coffee mixture evenly between 2 heat-resistant glasses, filling each about two-thirds full.
  7. Gently float the whipped cream on top of each glass.
  8. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top of the cream and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Use freshly brewed coffee for the best flavor.
