Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Garnishes: celery stalk lemon wedge, olives

Equipment

  • Blender or shaker
  • Measuring jigger
  • Highball or pint glass
  • Stirring spoon
  • Strainer (optional)

Method
 

  1. Measure out all the ingredients and have them ready for mixing.
  2. In a blender or shaker, combine the tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire sauce, and fresh lemon juice.
  3. Add the hot sauce, celery salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika to the mixture.
  4. If using a shaker, add ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds; if using a blender, pulse briefly to combine without over-blending.
  5. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning or spice level by adding more hot sauce or lemon juice if desired.
  6. Fill your glassware with ice cubes to chill the drink.
  7. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses.
  8. Garnish each glass with a celery stalk, a lemon wedge, and a few olives.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh Spicy Bloody Mary at its peak flavor.

Notes

Try adding pickled vegetables for additional flavor and texture or chill your glasses beforehand for extra refreshment.
