Method

  1. Brew two shots of espresso using a coffee maker or espresso machine, about 3 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 cup of milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming but not boiling, about 3 minutes.
  3. Froth the heated milk using a milk frother or whisk for 1-2 minutes until foamy.
  4. Combine the brewed espresso and 1-2 tablespoons of flavored syrup in a mug and stir well.
  5. Slowly pour the frothed milk over the espresso mixture to create a layered effect.
  6. Optionally top with sprinkles, cocoa powder, or a drizzle of syrup to garnish.

  8. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1/2 cup cold cubed butter, 1 large egg, and 1/2 cup milk; mix until a soft dough forms.
  9. Shape the dough into desired forms on the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake the pastries in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
