  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Equipment

  1. Step 1: Ensure the unsalted butter is at room temperature to soften it for easy mixing.
  2. Step 2: Mince the garlic cloves finely to release their full flavor.
  3. Step 3: Chop the fresh parsley and chives into small pieces using a sharp knife.
  4. Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped herbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; whisk until evenly blended.
  5. Step 5: Taste the butter mixture and adjust seasoning by adding more salt or pepper if needed.
  6. Step 6: Place the butter mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and roll it into a log shape, twisting the ends to secure.
  7. Step 7: Chill the wrapped butter in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  8. Step 8: Slice rounds of the chilled butter and place them on warm steak slices before serving.

Notes

Store leftover steak butter wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing for easier cutting.
