- Gather and measure all ingredients: 3/4 cup hot sauce, 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Place a small saucepan over medium heat and melt the butter for about 1 minute without letting it brown.
- Pour in the hot sauce and whisk gently for about 30 seconds until the mixture is combined and slightly bubbly.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce and honey, whisking continuously for 30 seconds to blend.
- Sprinkle in the garlic powder and paprika, whisking for 30 seconds to hydrate and bloom the spices.
- Whisk in the black pepper and salt, then taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
- Let the sauce simmer on medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, whisking occasionally to emulsify.
- Remove from heat and let the sauce cool for 1 to 2 minutes before tossing with hot wings.
Notes
Toss hot wings in the sauce immediately after cooking while they are still hot for the best flavor and coating.
